Dr. Ava Hacopian received her Doctor of Medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel in 1996. She completed her residency in family medicine in 1999 at Glendale Adventist Medical Center, where she also finished her internship in 1997. Dr. Hacopian earned a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics, and another in Psychobiology, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

 

Dr. Ava Hacopian holds board certification in family medicine, and is a member of the American Medical Association as well as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has received several honors over the years. Dr. Hacopian earned selection as a Leadership Representative in the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine in 1996 and as a resident was chosen to become the Glendale Adventist Family Practice Program Representative. While working with HealthCare Partners Medical Group from 1998 to 2001, Dr. Hacopian also won the TLC Award for Teamwork and served as Regional Representative the group’s Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee from 2000 to 2001.
